Winter’s Filth

This blog has been lonely lately…
However today as I was walking down the street, I got… I don’t know if you would call it inspiration, but more so the inclination to write again.  It’s “springtime” according to the calendar however I see no springing in the nature around me. In the past few days I have seen more death than I have seen life. I walk down the street and I see dead mice, squirrels, possums and other such creatures. To me it seems more than usual but maybe I am just noticing it more. Death and decay of animals is not the only thing I see. I see garbage, filth, grime, stuff that the “end” of winter has washed up. The streets are littered with pop cans, wrappers, dog feces, and just general filth, the grass is being choked out by the left over road sand and salt. I want to say it is like the spring has brought about nothingness, but the opposite is true. The spring has surfaced the junk; the dead, the ugly, and the stuff that makes me cringe. All I can think of is when will this be gone, when will the grass break through the layer of filth and death and breathe life again, what will it take to clean winter’s mess up.
Now considering the fact I have been doing a lot of walking lately I have been able to relate winter’s filth to life. Every one goes through a “winter” or “valley” at some point in time. And right now I feel like when will winter’s filth leave. Will there ever be a time in life where all the junk the hard times has left behind will be cleaned up. What kind of work is it going to take to clean life of the junk that has been left behind? Will all the junk that was left behind choke the rest of life out? You see there is hope though, because summer has to come, the trees will blossom and the birds will chirp again. However summer is not just going to come the earth has to work for it, it has to push through the junk, and the humans have to clean up. Just like in life the good times aren’t just going to come it takes work. But the good thing is all the junk winter left behind, when we become strong enough we can throw it away, give it away.
Jesus wants it and he will take it so you never have to see again. It’s hard to give it to him, and it may hurt a bit too. And the places in between when the snow buried you and made you look alright, to the place where you blossom and blow in the wind—it HURTS. Being suffocated by the filth is a constant fight to stay alive, so why do we stay here so long, why can’t we bone up and give it all away to him. Why can’t we stop fighting to stay alive, and just let him take what’s killing us. Cause if we give just a bit, the fight may get easier for a bit, but the filth will fall back if you don’t give it all away. So give it away throw out the junk and bring in the Joy and peace. It’s all or nothing world

So the moral of this grammarless blog rant is
GIVE IT ALL TO JESUS
Winter will leave it’s filth on us. The hard times suck and make our spirits scream. Yes it feels like there is this bottomless bit within my gut where the filth weighs down, but open your heart so he can take it all away, he will take winter’s filth and destroy it and summer will come, and really dancing with the Father in summer fields, being picked up off your feet and carried with love, being cradled in the fathers arms… so much better than being covered in winters filth
Yes I know the question is how in the world do I get rid of it for good? Easier said than done … oh how I know all to well.
